Structure features of gear pumps
Views: 1475 Update Date: Jun 17 , 2017

The structure of the gear pump is characterized by:

1. Simple structure and cheap price;

2. Low work requirements and wide range of applications;

3. The end cover and each groove of the gear form many fixed sealed working cavities, which can only be used as quantitative pumps.

The gear adopts the new technology advanced in the world in 90s -- double arc sine curve and tooth shaped arc. Compared with the involute gear, the most prominent advantage is that the tooth profile of the gear meshing process has no relative sliding, so the tooth surface has no wear, running balance and no sleepy liquid phenomenon, and the noise is low, the service life is long, and the efficiency is high. The pump has broken away from the shackles of traditional design and has entered a new area in the design, production and use of gear pumps.

The pump is equipped with a differential pressure relief valve as an overload protection. The total return pressure of the safety valve is 1.5 times the rated discharge pressure of the pump. Can also be allowed to discharge within the scope of pressure, according to actual needs to be adjusted. However, this safety valve shall not be used as a pressure relief valve for a long period of time. The relief valve may be installed as soon as necessary.

The pump shaft end seal design in two forms, one is mechanical seal, and the other is packing seal, according to the specific use and user requirements to determine.
